Another field to explore for ABS-CBN
Philippine media company ABS-CBN is collaborating with South Korean companies, MLD Entertainment and KAMP Global, in searching for members for the new boy band that will be launched internationally.
The Kapamilya network has ventured into different platforms after Congress denied the renewal of its franchise. Through social media and streaming platforms, the shows of the network were able to continue.

However, the partnership deal between ABS-CBN and TV5 was canceled following criticism regarding the legal aspect of the venture. On the other hand, just recently, based on the article in the Philippines Ultimate Showbiz Hub, the Kapamilya network has a new venture.
The Pinoy media company signed a deal with South Korean companies. This deal aims to find talented boys in order to be part of a group that will be launched in the international arena.
ABS-CBN TV production head and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, ABS-CBN business unit heads Reily Santiago and Marcus Vinuya, MLD Entertainment CEO Lee Hyung-jin, and KAMP Global CEO Tim Kim inked a contract to produce the reality talent search show Dream Maker were present during the contract signing.
Direk Lauren shared a glimpse of how big this project is. “We’re cooking something big. It’s a reality competition that will be searching for a new male pop group that will be launched internationally, specifically to debut in Korea,” he said.
He also said that this partnership will help pave the way for more Filipinos to be famous abroad and this is one of their objectives. Direk also expressed happiness to have amazing partners to help them realize their aspirations.
“With our two new partners, it will be easier, faster, better for us to get to the global arena in the shortest possible time,” he added.
