Former student of the aforementioned university Mark Donesa posted Arsalon’s commitment to studying despite his challenging circumstances on Facebook. Donesa claims that Arsalon only dons slippers when entering the class.

They also found out that the bag he used was trash-related. As a result, the other professors of Donesa and Arsalon assisted one another to buy the needs of the criminology student.

The teachers purchase five white shirts, two pairs of white shoes, six pairs of pants, bags, and groceries. Along with that, they also provided the student with financial aid.

“[Pero] ang willingness mag learn ka bata nag kumos sa heart namon nga mga instructor. ([But] the willingness to learn as a child touches the heart of us instructors),” said Donesa.

Arsalon is from Capiz and resides alone in Iloilo, he added. He hopes the boy will complete his coursework.

“Handom lang namon mga instructor Fritz ma lab’ot mo handom mo bskan ano pa ka unfair sang kalibutan. God bless Fritz,” he said.
