Maggie Wilson is not giving up in her current battle
Model-entrepreneur Maggie Wilson received support from various women’s advocacy groups amid her current issue with her estranged husband businessman Victor Consunji.
The businessman filed an adultery case against Maggie and her rumored boyfriend Tim Connor. On the other hand, based on the “evidence” that the model shared on social media, it was her estranged who cheated on her and this started back in 2019. The alleged “kabit” of Victor is entrepreneur Rachel Carrasco.
Maggie has been insisting that Victor is using his wealth and power to oppress her. She even shared a video showing that men working for her estranged husband tried to make her sister leave their house.
In her recent Instagram Stories, Maggie Wilson talked about her effort to speak to women’s advocacy groups, including the United Nations (UN) regarding the problem that she is going through right now.
She shared that the groups criticized the inequality, especially knowing that this came from countries where equality and fairness are expected to be observed and respected. Maggie also highlighted the fact that in the Philippines, the husband is the one who can file adultery. Imprisonment can go up to six years. The model stressed that this fact should be addressed.
Maggie also shared that there were already thousands of women who reach out to her amid this issue. Some of these women are living separately from their husbands for many years already and then, charges were filed against them.
These cases were a “bargaining tool for custody of children and assets,” Maggie said. She also pointed out that women in the Philippines are more submissive because of cultural or religious reasons.
Maggie said that she is sorry for those women who are going through the same problem. “Women who don’t have the means or funding to speak up feel powerless, but now we’ve got this together. Change needs to happen,” Maggie Wilson stressed.
