Toni Gonzaga is rumored to have a new show on AMBS
How true is it that actress-host Toni Gonzaga has already signed an exclusive contract with Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS)?
After resigning from Pinoy Big Brother as the main host, during the election season, rumors surfaced that Toni will transfer to another network. She has been in ABS-CBN for many years after her short stint in the Kapuso network.
Previously, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared that as he heard, the wife of filmmaker Paul Soriano will have a noontime show on Manny Villar’s TV network. However, veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin said that Toni Gonzaga will have two shows on AMBS.
Amid the speculations about the TV comeback of the actress-host, she remained silent. Right now, she focuses on her YouTube talk show Toni Talks, and some endorsement projects.
In a recent article by entertainment columnist Gorgy Rula in Pilipino Star Ngayon, dated September 2, he said that Toni’s transfer to AMBS is a done deal. “Napag-alaman naming pumirma na raw kagabi si Toni Gonzaga ng exclusive contract sa AMBS Network ni dating Sen. Manny Villar,” the columnist shared.
However, Rula said that there is no detail yet being released about the show that she will do on Villar’s TV network or if she will hold an executive position. Previously, speculations surfaced that aside from being a talent, Toni will also hold a position in the media company. It was even said that she might become the Charo Santos of AMBS.
“Malapit na rin naman daw siya magsisimula kaya abangan na lang natin ang kanilang official statement,” Rula added in his article.
As of this writing, the only confirmed show on AMBS is Wowowin, the game show of veteran host Willie Revillame that was previously airing on GMA. Kuya Wil is also among the people who decide on the shows that will be featured on the new network.
