Ruru Madrid ignored this message from a basher
Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid received a message from a netizen who appeared to be a basher asking him to shout “Darna” during his recent Instagram Live.
Ruru is the lead actor in the Kapuso series Lolong and its time slot is the same as the Kapamilya Darna series time slot of Jane de Leon. The actor expressed gratitude to his fans through his IG Live for receiving overwhelming support for his new series.
Based on the article by Abante entertainment columnist Rose Garcia, the actor also said that Ruru is happy about the warm reception that they received when they went to Davao.
The columnist said that there was a netizen who told Ruru Madrid to shout Darna, apparently mocking the actor with his rival series. The actor did not directly answer that netizen but his “hugot” sounded like it was his response to the Darna fan.
“‘Wag na lang po nating patulan, ‘wag na lang po nating pansinin ‘yung mga hindi magagandang bagay na nababasa nation,” Ruru said, adding that they should focus on the support that people are giving them.
He also said that it is true that sometimes Filipinos were the ones putting their fellow Filipinos down. The actor shared the lesson he learned from this kind of situation. He said that instead of getting affected, this can be an instrument to persevere in achieving what you want in life and achieving your dream.
Ruru even cited the late Kobe Bryant who received criticism and was dragged down by other people but was able to reach superstar status. “Ganoon po talaga. Kahit gaano kaganda ang ipakita mo sa mga tao, may masasabi at masasabi pa rin sa ‘yo. Kaya hayaan lang po natin sila. As long as wala tayong natatapakang taom” the actor added.
Ruru Madrid also pointed out that people should be careful about who to trust because it can be difficult to know who is on your side.
