Bela Padilla has another film to direct
Multi-hyphenate Pinay celebrity Bela Padilla is set to direct a new movie and this will be shot in Switzerland.
Bela, aside from being an actress, is also a screenwriter. Last year, she made her debut as a director for the movie she wrote also titled 366. In a previous interview, Bela said that she was not supposed to act in the movie that she directed and wrote.
The actress said that she wanted Liza Soberano to be the lead actress in the movie, however, due to a conflict of schedule, this did not push through. With this, Bela Padilla acted and directed at the same time.
For her second directorial job, Bela said that she will just sit behind the camera, based on the article in Pang-Masa. “Actually, may isho-shoot akong movie sa Switzerland this winter, pero with Pinoy cast and crew pa rin. So right now, we’re in the process of casting, finalizing kung sino pa yung mga kasama namin. Pero this time I’m not acting on it, I’m just writing and directing the film,” she shared. She is also excited about the experience that she will have as a director.
Meanwhile, Bela has done several TFC (The Filipino Channel) events in Norway and France. She shared that she realized that wherever she goes if there are Pinoys, she will certainly feel at home.
Living in Europe makes Bela Padilla’s creative side work efficiently and she becomes more productive when it comes to writing stories. “I guess kasi new environment marami ako nasusulat right now. I’m very inspired to keep on writing and keep on creating,” she said. Through the events she did for TFC, she also had the chance to meet her kababayans in Europe.
