Joey Marquez supports Winwyn’s journey to family life but giving advice is not his forte
Veteran actor Joey Marquez said that he has no right to give marriage advice to her daughter actress Winwyn Marquez.
Joey is very supportive of his children’s endeavors. Now that Winwyn is embarking on a new journey as a mother and soon to be a wife, the veteran actor has been very supportive to his daughter.
He even expressed excitement about having his new grandchild and he will be soon welcoming a son-in-law in their family.
However when it comes to giving advice about married life, Joey Marquez said that he is not in the position to do so.
During a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, the veteran actor said, “[Marriage] isn’t easy to get into… And it’s hard to give advice because I’m a failure in that regard. I think the only advice I can give them is from a parent’s point of view; not as a spouse. I don’t have moral ascendancy.”
On the other hand, Joey said that all he can tell them is to have an open communication line always. He also said that it is important that the decision-making should be done equally.
Previously, the veteran actor revealed that Winwyn’s non-showbiz partner has already proposed. Joey also revealed that the guy was his daughter’s childhood sweetheart and a close friend of his son Yeoj.
The veteran actor also said that the wedding might be happening this year. However, in a statement, Winwyn clarified that there is no concrete plan yet when it comes to their wedding. She added that her father is just too excited about this.
Meanwhile, the actress has been sharing glimpses of the bonding moment that Joey Marquez has with his grandchild.
