Rabiya Mateo shared her thoughts on her current love life
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo talked about her relationship with her boyfriend Kapuso actor Jeric Gonzales.
From the pageant stage, Rabiya crossed over to showbiz, which was normally done by beauty queens after their pageant stints. The first acting project she did after signing her network contract with GMA was an episode of Wish Ko Lang.
In that episode, she was paired with Jeric. After that project, they were spotted together several times. Later on, they finally confirmed their relationship.
During their contract signing for GMA’s talent management arm Sparkle, Rabiya Mateo and Jeric Gonzales shared their thoughts on their relationship. The beauty queen-turned-actress revealed that there were those people who expressed apprehensions about her relationship with the actor.
However, she said that despite the negative reactions, she chose to follow her heart and they are fighting for their relationship, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon.
“Kami ni Jeric, lumalaban po talaga kami sa buhay, and aminado naman po namin na we’re not perfect and alam ko, when we were starting at ang daming nagsasabi sa amin, sa akin talaga na if you want to have a blooming career in showbiz, huwag kang mag-boyfriend. Huwag kang pumili ng artista. Pero I did not listen to them, and I chose to love at its fullest,” Rabiya said.
For Jeric Gonzales, his girlfriend is a blessing in his life. He is thankful for having her because she has become an inspiration to him. The actor also said that he is happy to have someone who takes care of him and motivates him to do his best.
Meanwhile, Jeric became a trending topic on social media just recently. It was because of his viral intimate photos with a guy. Amid this issue, Rabiya Mateo shared on social media her date night with her boyfriend.
