Is it true that these photos of Jeric Gonzales were taken from his indie film?
Fans of Kapuso actor Jeric Gonzales defended him against the controversial photos showing that he was kissing a guy as they claimed that those were scenes from his indie film in 2020.
Just recently, photos of Jeric having an intimate moment with a guy circulated on social media. This became controversial as the public knows that the actor is the boyfriend of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo.
With this, many netizens speculated that the Kapuso actor is gay and that he is cheating. However, there were also those who defended him against the speculations about his gender preference.
Following the controversy, fans of Jeric Gonzales reasoned out that the viral photos were from his independent movie two years ago. However, it can be noticed that the netizens who are claiming haven’t mentioned the title of the said indie film. Because of this, some netizens said that it was just “palusot.”
The viral photos of Jeric, as well as the tweets of netizens defending him, were shared on a popular showbiz site but these were criticized by other netizens who demanded the title of the indie film and the identity of Jeric’s co-actor.

Amid this issue, the Kapuso actor has remained silent. Based on The Internet Movie Database (IMDb), Jeric Gonzales has not done a movie in 2020. His acting stints were mostly in TV series on the Kapuso network. Some fans of the actor claimed that the indie film that Jeric did 2 years ago was “shelved”.
