Leni Robredo Shares Appreciation Post For People Who Helped Daughter Jillian Robredo at NYU

LENI ROBREDO – Vice President Leni Robredo thanks those who helped daughter Jillian Robredo until she graduated from New York University (NYU).

Days after the 2022 elections, the Robredos flew to the United States for Jillian’s graduation. It also served as their much-needed break after the grueling campaign.

On Wednesday, May 18, the youngest daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo, Jillian Robredo, graduated from the prestigious New York University. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree, major in mathematics and economics.

The 57-year-old politician has been sharing updates about their trip on social media. She posted a photo of her ironing Jillian’s toga and a video showing how she becomes a stage mom to her daughter.

During the Commencement Exercise Jillian, Leni was spotted fangirling over multiple Grammy winner Taylor Swift. Tay also received a degree from NYU.

In a post on her Facebook account last May 19, Leni Robredo thanked the people who helped her daughter Jillian during her four years of study at the prestigious university. She thanked fellow Filipinos Michael Purugganan, Dean of Science; and Joan Maniego, Tisch Chief of Staff for helping Jillian and Xyza Bacani survive at NYU.

Bacani is a photographer and former OFW who earned a master’s degree from the university.

Leni Robredo also said that Jillian only got a partial scholarship and said they could not afford the remaining balance of the tuition fee. That’s why Jillian applied for additional scholarships to study at her dream university.

This is also where the help of Purugganan and Maniego entered.

Meanwhile, the vice president also thanked her brother-in-law and sister-in-law who stood as Jillian’s second parents when she was in New York.
