Jane de Leon is ready to fly!
Kapamilya actress Jane de Leon shared the teaser of her new Darna series and this received support from the “OG” Darna Angel Locsin.
Originally, Angel was supposed to do the Darna project as a movie. However, due to an injury, the prominent actress had to turn the offer down. Then, Darna was offered to Liza Soberano who was also injured during a shoot for her previous teleserye.
Because of this, Jane was given the chance to play the iconic Pinay superhero character. After the long wait, she is now ready to fly. In her recent Instagram post, Jane de Leon showcased the Darna teaser.
In the caption of her post, Jane featured the famous line of her character. “DING! ANG BATO!” the young actress wrote in the caption. The teaser highlighted the action scenes in the series that will surely excite the fans. It also showed how Jane was trained by the character of Iza Calzado who passed the Darna stone to her.
The character of Jane’s leading man, Joshua Garcia, was also highlighted as well as the villain Valentina played by Janella Salvador. This post of Jane received a comment from Angel Locsin. The wife of film producer Neil Arce commented with a flexed biceps emoji which represents strength. This comment of Angel received happy reactions from Darna fans.
Several netizens also expressed excitement as their much-awaited series is coming soon. Many celebrities also showed support for Jane de Leon.
Meanwhile, Jane de Leon was just one of the many Kapamilya actresses who auditioned for the Darna role. Previously, Maris Racal revealed that she auditioned also but she is happy for Jane for getting the role.
