Xian Lim Asked To React To Remark That Being Kapuso Is Good Career Move

Xian Lim shared thoughts on his decision to leave his previous management

Actor-director Xian Lim reacted to the remark of people that his decision to transfer to GMA-7 and be under the management of Viva Artists Agency was a good career move.

For many years, Xian’s career was being handled by Star Magic, the talent management company of ABS-CBN. Throughout those years as a Kapamilya, Xian has done several major projects that boosted his career as an actor. He also did some hosting stints and explored the possibilities when it comes to his stints in music.

However, last year, the actor surprised many of his fans when he had an appearance on the Kapuso network. Later on, it was announced that he will do a series on GMA with Jennylyn Mercado.

Although that project was postponed, Xian Lim’s teleserye with Glaiza de Castro has started airing just recently. He also did a directorial project for VivaMax aside from the movie he did with Viva such as Untrue, Love The Way You Lie, Yorme: The Isko Domagoso Story, and Bahay na Pula.

Based on the article in PEP, there were fans of Xian who were a bit apprehensive about his decision to transfer to Viva and be a Kapuso. However, because of the series of projects that he had since he left ABS-CBN, the initial apprehension was changed by the remark that he did a good career move.

When asked to react to this, Xian said, “I strongly believe that artists should be able to perform in all platforms available. There will be exclusivity amongst the networks, managers, and artists, but that is business side of the game. I have no clue on how to play that.”

The actor also said that as an artist, he just wants to paint and express his medium through TV series or film.
