Sharon Cuneta talked about her friendship with Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez
Megastar Sharon Cuneta said that she wants to be part of the family of Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez and OPM icon Ogie Alcasid.
Sharon shared how her friendship with Ogie started and eventually, she and Regine became close to each other as well. In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Sharon’s friendship with Ogie started in the 1980s.
Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, the husband of Sharon has known Ogie since they were young. “Mahal na mahal talaga ni Kiko si Ogie to begin with. They’ve known each other since Ogie was in grade school and Kiko was in high school. Tapos nag-UP silang pareho. Magkakilala na sila,” the Megastar shared.
Their friendship even bloomed when they were together during a concert in the States back in 2008 and then, Sharon Cuneta’s friendship with Regine Velasquez started at that time also.
Although they do not see each other frequently, especially during the pandemic, the friendship that they have is not affected by the distance or frequency of their bonding moments.
“Kami ni Regs, although yun na nga, may kalayuan yung mga bahay namin, hindi kami nawawalan ng communication,” Sharon said. The Megastar added that years will pass and she is sure that they will still be friends.
“Feeling ko kahit hindi na kami kumakanta at may apo na kami, yung parang feeling ko magkikita pa rin kami kapag birthday ni Nate or birthday niya, ganu’n. Ako gusto kong maging part ng family nila kasi pati si Ogie,” the seasoned actress-singer enthused.
Sharon Cuneta said that she considers Regine Velasquez and Ogie Diaz as friends who will be there forever despite the fact that they don’t always see each other.
