Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla to bring “kilig” once again
Reel and real-life sweethearts Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla talked about their characters in their new romantic-comedy series 2 Good 2 Be True.
For a decade, the KathNiel love team never fails to bring “kilig” on-screen with their hit movies and teleseryes. Now, they are treating their fans with a new project and characters that will surely mark another milestone in their acting careers.
Kathryn is playing the role of Ali, a nurse who is like a mother to her family. “She’s very hardworking, and she’s a bit allergic to men,” the actress shared about her character during a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer.
Daniel is Eloy in this series. Kathryn said that the dynamics of Ali and Eloy are different from what she and Daniel have in real life. However, this is a good thing, she said as the audience wants to see their new characters and not just another variation of themselves.
“Even if we have different outlooks in life, Eloy and I have something in common. Like him, I used to be my family’s breadwinner,” Daniel Padilla shared and Kathryn Bernardo added, “And they both love cars (laughs)…!”
From their teen years, Kathryn and Daniel have evolved into two of the most sought-after stars in the Philippine entertainment industry. Their projects and their roles have also evolved over the years.
When asked at what point of their career they realized to take acting seriously, Kathryn Bernardo said that it happened to them about the same time. “I think it happened when we did the series ‘Got to Believe’ in 2013,” Daniel Padilla shared.
He said that back then, it was difficult for them to take their characters seriously but then, things started to change. Director Cathy Garcia Molina was demanding more from them and that shaped them into what they have become.
