Ping Lacson after 2022 Elections: ‘It’s time to serve my family’

It’s time to go home for Ping Lacson

Presidential candidate Senator Ping Lacson said that it is time for him to serve his family for a change as the end of the 2022 elections is about to happen.

Lacson has been in public service for many decades now after serving as the Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief. He showed a remarkable transition from being a law enforcer into a lawmaker.

This year, he and his running mate Senate President Tito Sotto aspired to sit on two highest chairs in the Philippine government. However, the recent partial and unofficial election result showed that the numbers got by the Lacson-Sotto tandem is far behind than the leading UniTeam tandem of former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

On May 10, hours after the end of voting was announced, Sen. Ping Lacson said in his tweet that it is time for him to go home. The lawmaker is from Cavite but even though this province is his bailiwick, his opponent, Marcos, still got the highest number of votes.

I’m going home. After being away too long looking after the needs of other people, it is time to serve my family for a change,” he said. The Senator is also looking forward to having the reward that he deserves after his stint in public service.

Enjoying peace and quiet in these challenging times will probably be my life’s greatest reward,” Lacson said. This post of the lawmaker received a comment from senatorial candidate JV Ejercito.

You are probably the best President we never had. I salute you Sir!” the son of former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada commented. Several netizens also thanked Sen. Ping Lacson for all the years he spent in serving the Filipino people.
