Award-winning actor John Arcilla delivered a powerful speech channeling his Heneral Luna character during a recent rally of the team of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan.

John is not the only prominent personality in the entertainment industry who joined the said rally that was also a celebration of VP Leni’s birthday.

In his speech, the actor said, “Bayan, pumili ka!” as he presented two opposing characteristics of the politicians who can either have a negative or positive effect on them.

John Arcilla also stressed that they are not “yellowtards” or “pinklawan”, the names being used for supporters of the Liberal Party and the presidential candidacy of VP Leni. “Tayo ang sambayanang Pilipino. Mahal natin ang ating bayan. Iniibig natin ang ating bandila at may takot tayo sa Diyos,” he stressed.

He also said that they are praising VP Leni like a saint but they love her because of her love for the Filipino people. John also commended the Vice President for saying that people can call her out if ever she has done something wrong. For the actor, this will result in a healthy relationship between the government and the people.

In his speech, John Arcilla also mentioned the survey frontrunners, the tandem of former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. He said that he understands BBM as a son and he likes Inday Sara for her beautiful face but these are not the qualifications that he is looking for in supporting a candidate.

John also mentioned that he knows Manila Mayor Isko Moreno but this will not push him also to vote for the presidential candidate of Aksyon Demokratiko.

Then, the award-winning actor said that he is voting for VP Leni becuase of what she has done for the Philippines and the Filipino people.
