Diego Loyzaga shared the money problem he encountered
Kapamilya actor Diego Loyzaga shared the lesson he learned from the investment scam he experienced in the past.
Diego encountered a problem that involved money matters before. During a recent interview for his new movie Greed with Nadine Lustre, the actor revealed that he was scammed before.
He shared, based on the article in Inquirer, he was able to win a quite large amount of money from a game show. He was thinking of keeping a portion for himself and give another portion to other people.
“But instead of keeping it, I thought it would be smart to invest it in something, so that the money could grow in time. That way, I can have more to share,” Diego Loyzaga shared his good intention.
However, the investment was a fraud. “I was scammed and the people I dealt with ran away with my money,” the actor shared. Then, Diego related this real-life event to the theme of his movie.
“Greed took over. And in that scenario, I lost—big-time … Easy come, easy go. If money comes in easily, you tend to spend it in the same manner,” he said.
Diego Loyzaga also related this to the discontentment that one could feel when it comes to showbiz projects. For the actor, wanting for more and not being thankful of all the blessings can result in a much worse scenario.
“For example, you get a ‘raket’ but get offered a lower amount than usual, so you wish for something bigger … And then the project doesn’t push through, you end up losing the whole thing entirely,” Diego Loyzaga explained.
Doing the movie Greed, directed by Yam Laranas, Diego said that this cemented his belief that greed comes from a person’s discontentment. A person who is not contented always wanting for more, the actor said.
