Who among the presidential and VP bets will have the vote of Heart Evangelista?
Multi-hyphenate celebrity Heart Evangelista has spoken about her and her husband Governor Chiz Escudero’s presidential and vice-presidential bets.
It is inevitable for Heart to be entangled in topics about politics. Her husband has been a public servant for many years now. She is exposed to the world of politics and this has become an automatic thing for her.
Just recently, the Kapuso star visited Cebu and Bacolod City. Photos of her showed that people wanted her to feel a warm welcome. Based on the article in Inquirer, Heart sat down with members of the media for an interview in Cebu City.
She reminded the public to vote based on what they have researched about a certain politician. “I think this is something that we should also practice. We just do not look at the ads or what is in front of us but we should be responsible enough to do research and I did research about him,” Heart Evangelista said.
Then, she shared the time when she researched Chiz Escudero. Heart said that back in 2007, she had no idea about her husband. She just saw him at an event in La Union and the actress commended the eloquence of the politician.
“And it was really refreshing to know somebody who knows what he is saying. So, I did my research and I discovered the many things he has done as a public servant,” the Kapuso Queen of Collaboration said.
At that time, Chiz was still married and despite that Heart admired his credibility, she was dismayed by the fact that he was not single. Then, she stressed the value of research when it comes to voting. “So, we need to do our research para alam natin kung tama ba ang ating mga pinipili,” the fashion icon said.
When it comes to her presidential and vice-presidential bets, Heart Evangelista said that she and Chiz Escudero are still discussing and assessing this and so they can’t say anything yet at the moment.
However, the actress stressed that she and her husband respect each other’s choice. “Mayroon akong napupusuan pero again ayokong magmadali… We both respect each other’s choices, hindi kami nag-aaway ng dahil lang doon at hindi tayo dapat nag-aaway-away dahil lang sa politics,” the actress said.
