Aubrey Miles talked about her relationship with Troy Montero
Actress Aubrey Miles said that live-up setup before marriage may have a different result in other couples.
Aubrey and her longtime boyfriend Troy Montero announced their engagement just recently. They have been together for 18 years but the decision to tie the knot just came to them last March 22.
In a recent interview by Inquirer entertainment columnist Dolly Anne Carvahal, the actress was asked what made her partner decide that they should get married. “Troy feels I’m more open to the idea, and our vibe is already different when we talk about getting engaged,” Aubrey Miles shared.
She added that she does not mind going through engagement and not having a ring. It was fine for her to just go straight to the wedding. However, after Troy’s proposal, she can’t help but gush over her ring.
“But nakakakilig pala to be engaged. I feel like a kid when I look at my ring. It’s another milestone and story to tell,” Aubrey said. When it comes to the question about their choice to have a live-in setup first before trying the knot, Aubrey said that it still depend on the couple.
“I don’t think it’s for everybody. It might not work for others. From my experience, it’s not even about staying in one roof with the person,” she shared as she can’t really recommend their setup to other couples.
Aubrey Miles also stressed the value of having each other’s “me time” and not losing oneself in the relationship. She said that individuality is still important even though two people are already living together.
She was also asked if there is something she fears about marriage. Aubrey said that she does not know how it feels like to be married but she is already anticipating that it will be just the same as what they are now.
“I try not to overthink it, or expect that when you’re married, the love must get deeper. Pag love kasi, kasal man or hindi, there should be loyalty and trust,” the actress shared.
