From being a solid DDS, Jex de Castro is now supporting VP Leni
Tawag ng Tanghalan All-Star Grand Resbak First Runner Up Jex de Castro confessed that he was a solid DDS before or a supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte but now, he is a proud Kakampink.
The term Kakampink was coined by supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo when she used pink as her campaign color for the 2022 elections. Supporters of VP Leni have been using this term and other terms like “Kulay Rosas Ang Bukas” to promote her presidential candidacy.
In a recent Twitter post, Jex revealed that his political choice has shifted. He revealed that back in 2016, he was known as a solid DDS. The singer shared a photo of him wearing a shirt with “Team DU30 2016” written on it.
The acronym DDS stands for “Die-hard Duterte Supporters.” It is known to many that Duterte and Robredo are political rivals. There had been several instances in the past that Duterte criticized Robredo and vice versa.
This time, Jex de Castro is taking the side of VP Leni Robredo who is aiming for the presidency. He said that this change in his choice is major character development. “Pinakamalaking Character Development na nangyare sa buhay ko,” he said.
The TNT graduate also encouraged the netizen to swallow their pride and admit if they have committed a mistake when it comes to their point of views. “Alisin ang pride. Aminin na nagkamali. Hindi nakakahiya na magbago ng pananaw at magising sa katotohanan,” the former solid DDS said.
As of this writing, the said tweet of Jex de Castro has already reached 14 thousand likes, over 1 thousand retweets, and almost a hundred quote tweets.
