Kakai Bautista is about to reach the Gold status of Wishclusive Elite Circle Award
Comedienne-singer Kakai Bautista reacted to 40 million views that her Wish Bus performance of the song Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita got.
Kakai is not just good at making people laugh, she is also an expert when it comes to touching people’s emotions through her song renditions. Her version of the original Roselle Nava song is reaching the Gold status of Wishclusive Elite Circle Award.
Every year, the Wish 107.5 Music Awards is giving recognition to artists who reach a certain number of views on YouTube. Kakai has already surpassed the Bronze status that is being given to artists whose videos reached 25 million views.
For the 40 million views that she got, the comedienne-singer is simply ecstatic. Through her social media post, she shared her reaction to this achievement. She revealed that in the past, she was told to fix her teeth but Kakai Bautista refused to do so because she wants to be recognized as a performer and how her performance would affect other people and not because of her physical attributes.
“Mas gusto kong maalala ng tao ang boses ko at kung anong nararamdaman nila kapag pinapakinggan nila ako, kesa sa TINITINGNAN LANG NILA AKO habang kumakanta,” she said.
Seeing the views that her videos acquired, the comedienne-singer can’t help but feel emotional. She also thanked everyone who made this possible.
In another post, Kakai Bautista once again stressed that she sings to tell a story and touch the souls of her listeners. She also pointed out the reality in the entertainment industry that some people are judging an artist based on her or his looks.
“Para sa isang komedyante na ang realidad sa industryang ito ay maging komedyante nalang at hindi SINGER. Kase ganito, ganyan ka lang. Malaking bagay kase PINAPAKINGGAN NYO AKO, kahit hindi ko sila kasing ganda at sikat. Pinaka-IMPORTANTE ay nakinig kayo. MARAMING SALAMAT!!” she wrote.
