“The Kissing Booth” Star Joey King Shares Photo of Her Engagement Ring
JOEY KING – “The Kissing Booth” star Joey King announced on Wednesday that she’s engaged to her boyfriend Steven Piet after more than two years of dating.
American actress, Joey King rose to prominence after portraying Ramona Quimby in the comedy film ‘Ramona and Beezus.’ Her fame sky-rocketed after playing protagonist Elle Evans in the Netflix film trilogy ‘The Kissing Booth.’
Joey also starred in several films including ‘Slender Man, ‘The Lie,’ and ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ among others. She also starred in several tv series which include ‘The Act,’ ‘Life in Pieces,’ and ‘Robot Chicken,’ among others. She received critical acclaim for her starring role in ‘The Act,’ she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe.
Meanwhile, Steven Piet is a writer, producer, and director. According to his IMDB profile, he’s the producer and director of the tv series ‘The Act’ and ‘Briarpatch.’
In a post on her Instagram account last March 2 (PH time), Joey King announced her engagement to Steven. She posted photos of the director’s proposal last February 22.
“I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy…”
“I never knew that a person’s presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you,” she added.

Steven Piet also wrote a heartwarming message for the actress on his IG page upon the engagement announcement. He also described the day he asked Joey to marry him.
“The weather was less than perfect. Cold. Windy. Perfectly imperfect to ask my best friend to spend a lifetime together. A lifetime of incredibly safe and vulnerable conversations. Holding hands on silent cab rides home, exhausted from great food and red wine. And oh, the laughter. The uncontrollable laughter,” he wrote.
Steven said Joey has “unlocked a dimension of love” in him that he never knew existed.
