This video of Simpleni Robredo was lauded by netizens
Simpleni Robredo, the impersonator of Vice President Leni Robredo, did this Simpleng Shoutout video that caught the attention of many netizens.
Simpleni became popular since VP Leni was elected for the second-highest position in the government back in 2016. Joierie Pacumio, the person behind Simpleni amazingly looked like the Vice President.
She has a YouTube channel now with over 1 thousand subscribers, as of this writing. The first video was she did was a parody of the announcement of the Vice President about her decision to run for president in the 2022 elections.
The second video that is on her YT channel was apparently an imitation of the campaign ads of VP Leni. However, Simpleni Robredo’s video incorporated humor.
At the beginning of the video, Simpleni appeared behind a plant and talked about her effort to work despite being “puyat”. “Pinipiling gumising kahit puyat dahil araw-araw, pinipili kita,” she said.
Then, the person behind the camera, who appeared to be the director said that they will do another take with the ending statement directed to a specific group of people. With this, Simpleni shared the taglines from popular advertisements just like her message for mother, “pinipili ng mapiling ina” while the one for athletes, she said, “hindi lang pang-pamilya, pang-isports pa.”
