He made history in the 2009 Olympics with 9.58 seconds in the 100-meter dash.
He is also the record holder in 200 meters, and 4 × 100 meters relay.
His achievements as a sprinter have earned him the media nickname “Lightning Bolt.”
He also received different awards such as IAAF World Athlete of the Year, Track & Field Athlete of the Year, BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year (three times), and Laureus World Sportsman of the Year (four times).

What do you think is the fastest land-dwelling animal which is even faster than Bolt?
In this article, we are going to learn what is the fastest land-dwelling animal on the planet.
The fastest land animal in the world is no other than, a cheetah.
Cheetah is a large cat native to Africa and central Iran. It is the fastest land-dwelling animal, estimated to be capable of running at 80 to 128 km/h (50 to 80 mph).
If Usain Bolt can run 100 meters in 9.58 seconds, it would take 5.8 seconds for a cheetah to cover that same distance.
While the fastest man can run 200 meters in 19.19 seconds, cheetahs could cover the same distance for only 6.9 seconds.
Next to the cheetah as the second fastest land-dwelling animal is a pronghorn antelope. It can run at 98kph (60mph) speed out-sprinting its predators.
