Barbie Imperial answered questions about love and relationship in a recent interview
Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial shared her thoughts on saying goodbye and ending a relationship during a recent virtual interview for her latest project The Goodbye Girl.
As this project goes along with the celebration of the love month, stars of the limited series were asked about relationships and handling their love life. In a recent interview, Barbie said that when it comes to saying goodbye the hardest was the one that she never anticipated.
“The one you don’t see coming. ‘Yung hindi mo na-anticipate na ‘yun na ‘yung last time na makikita mo ‘yung taong ‘yun,” she shared. When it comes to ending a relationship, she said that it is better to do it in person.
She does not like that the guy will just disappear all of a sudden as if it does not matter to him what they shared together in the past. On the other hand, Barbie Imperial said, “But I also have to understand na iba-iba ‘yung coping mechanism ng mga tao.”
In the same interview, she also shared the lesson that she learned from a past relationship that did not work out. She said that as a girlfriend, she is the one who does not give up easily but when the point comes that the other person is not growing with her, then, Barbie said that it is time to say goodbye. She also stressed the importance of self-love.
The actress also said that she does not condone infidelity in a relationship, especially if the person cheating knows that he or she is hurting someone. For her advice to the broken-hearted, the actress said that the process does not need to be quick.
“Hindi mo kailangan madaliin, dapat at your own time. You have to remember that this is life, we get hurt but we learn from it. Okay lang masaktan kasi tao ka lang naman,” Barbie Imperial said.
