The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer was announced in May 2018 and released in July 2018. The was launched in a single color, Black (transparent black). It is powered by a 3000 mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable) + fast charging 18W + quick charge 4+.
Body & Display:
The dimension of the device is 154.9 x 74.8 x 7.6 mm and weighs 177 grams. It is built with a Glass front (Gorilla Glass 5), a glass back, and an aluminum frame (7000 series). It features a 6.21 inches screen size and the display is Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that provides 1080 x 2248 pixels resolution.
Platform:
Mi 8 Explorer runs on the Android 8.1 (Oreo) + MIUI 12 operating system. It is powered by the Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 (10 nm) Octa-core processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Adreno 630. The phone is packed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Main Camera:
The rear side of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer sports a dual-camera that consists of 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel with features like panorama, HDR, and dual-LED flash.
Selfie Camera:
On the front, the smartphone features a 20-megapixel (wide) + TOF 3D (depth/biometrics sensor) camera for clicking beautiful selfies and making video calls.
