The garments may be observed to be filthy in the photo shared by the beauty queen. Katarina expresses her displeasure and reminds them as a result. “Don’t give things you don’t wear,” Katarina advised on January 4, 2022 in a series of Instagram stories.
She continued, “Hindi naman dahil walang-wala na sila ay deserve nila ang basura ng mga tao, sorry pero yung ibang nakuha namin na donation sobrang dumi at butas-butas na.”
She also shared a comment from a netizen who said, “If there are holes in your clothes, do not donate them.” She went on to warn that people should not donate their underwear, especially if it is old and soiled.
“Also, don’t donate your dirty panty or dirty underwear…If it is not wearable (essential) clothes, don’t send it. Please donate appropriate clothing!” she noted.
Katarina is active in helping victims of Typhoon Odette in the Visayas by organizing donation drives. The receivers appreciated the items donated to them, primarily dresses, formal apparel, costumes, and other non-essential stuff, during the height of typhoon Yolanda and even the eruption of Taal Volcano in 2020.
