Here’s what Cindy Miranda said about her fellow beauty queen
Beauty queen-turned-actress Cindy Miranda made revelations about Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo during a recent interview for her new movie My Husband, My Lover.
Cindy has transitioned successfully from the beauty pageant stage to the movie scene. Many movie fans lauded her performance in the movie Nerisa opposite Aljur Abrenica. Now, she is promoting her recently-released movie with Kylie Padilla, Marco Gumabao, and Adrian Alandy.
Based on the article in PUSH, Cindy shared during the interview that her fellow beauty queen Rabiya reached out to her for advice. The latter has signed a contract with GMA-7 just recently to start her acting career.
“She just messaged me na sobrang tuwang tuwa daw siya sa akin. Nakaka-inspire daw ako kasi nakikita niya na yung mga posts ko. And I think she wanted to become an actress. Sabi ko nga sa kanya I wanted to meet her soon kasi never pa kami nag-meet in person,” Cindy Miranda said.
She added that it makes her feel happy that Rabiya follows her on social media and checks the update she is posting when it comes to her acting projects. Cindy also said that she hopes there will come a time when she and Rabiya would be together in a project.
Cindy Miranda also shared advice to those beauty queens who intend to enter the world of acting. She said that if they really want to act, they should not limit themselves.
“As a beauty queen, mahinhin, hanggang dito ka lang, maganda, kontrabida, whatever. But you know sabi ko nga yung pagkatao ko yung rules talaga gusto kong bini-break, ganyan. I wanted to do this. Bakit hindi ko yun kayang gawin? I was able to become a beauty queen. Why not become a actress?” she shared. Cindy added that even though there is a different trainings when it comes to pageant and acting, one common thing is the “discipline”.
