Robredo Gives Take On Drug Tests, Says It’s Better If Random
RANDOM DRUG TESTS – Vice President Leni Robredo said that presidential candidates should be okay with taking drug tests at random.
Recently, President Rodrigo Duterte said there was a presidential candidate that was doing cocaine. So far, Duterte had yet to name who that candidate is. However, he said this candidate came from a rich family and only rides the coattails of his father’s name.
Meanwhile, several candidates already told the public they were for drug tests, among them, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno. Additionally, former Senator Bongbong Marcos also presented a negative drug test.
But, when asked, VP Robredo said drugtests should be random and unaanounced. According to an article from ABS-CBN, Robredo said:
Alam naman natin na mas maigi na random, mas maigi na unannounced para nakukuha mo kung ano talaga iyong tunay na sitwasyon
Furthermore, she said that she was okay with conducting random drug tests. “Anytime na may lumapit sa akin na mag-request na mag-undergo ako, ako go ako anytime.”, she added.
President Rodrigo Duterte’s long-time aid and presidential candidate, Senator Bong Go, said he was also willing to take a drug test. Senator Panfilo Lacson shared the same sentiment and already tested negative for drugs on Monday.
