The claimed men claiming to be from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) barged into the Sentro ng mga Nagkakaisa at Progresibong Manggagawa (Sentro) office on Tuesday. According to Sentro, the police officers also enquired about a labor issue involving an affiliate organization representing beverage sector workers.

According to the report, a blue and white Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) police vehicle with the marker QC-76 and plate No. SKM 714 is an abbreviated version of SKM 714. The vehicle allegedly broke into the compound without a search warrant or permission.

Rep. Raymond Mendoza of the TUCP party list, who is also the organization’s president, criticized the police intervention, stating it was the fifth such incident there. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, the PNP chief, said he has initiated an investigation into the event reported by TUCP.

Eleazar stated that he has entrusted the investigation to the PNP’s CIDG and the QCPD. Eleazar stated that he will personally oversee the investigation’s progress. He further stated that no such action was ordered by PNP headquarters.
