Bea Alonzo shares the hard part of being an “artista”
A-list actress Bea Alonzo made revelations about her acting career and stressed that in the showbiz industry, “it is not all glitz and glamour.”
Many perceived that people in the show business are living an amazing life with all the fame and luxury that they could have. However, being an actress, Bea said that staying in the industry also requires hard work.
In an interview on Celeste Tuviera’s YouTube channel, the actress revealed that output needs hard work behind the scene itself. She cited the time when she did the series Betty La Fea in which she had to spend two hours in order to acquire the complete look of her character.
She needed to be on the set at 5 a.m. and her taping would end at 6 a.m. the following day. Bea Alonzo said that actresses like her should also face natural circumstances like shooting under the heat or bearing the cold night for a specific scene.
The A-list Kapuso star also said that there are times that she would cry from a scene to another scene and that she can’t make the production team wait because the longer the shooting time, the more money will be spent by the producer. “These are the things that they don’t know about it. So, you really have to love it before mo siya gawin,” she said.
When asked if what character that she portrayed that reflected her personality, Bea Alonzo said that it was Bobby in the movie Four Sisters And A Wedding. It is because, for her, she is not charming and she can’t call herself “someone who would light up the room when she enters.”
“Hindi ako yung darling of the crowd,” she said adding that she is not like her contemporaries Angelica Panganiban, Anne Curtis, and Angel Locsin who have different personalities.
