The Bountiful Police affidavit stated that Suliafu’s father came home with food for him. However, he started to get furious after finding out that the chicken wings his father had for him weren’t the ones he wanted.

This led to a heated argument. Afterward, Suliafu went to his room and got the gun from his dad’s bag, and pointed it at him. The father begged Suliafu not to pull the trigger.

But, expecting the worse, the father quickly ducked down as his son shot at him. Luckily, the bullet missed and traveled straight through the wall where it hit the neighbors dishwasher.

Then, the father grabbed his son and attempted to take the gun away from his hands. Two more shots were fired at the ceiling as they wrestled for the gun.

Thankfully, the father managed to eject the magazine and flee their apartment. He then rushed to the police. However, when the authorities arrived, Suliafu already fled.

But, he was quickly found and later taken into custody.
