Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather to Hold Charity Basketball Game in Las Vegas
Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao and his rival Floyd Mayweather Jr. will face against not in a boxing ring but in a basketball match in Las Vegas.
Senator Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. will fight for the second time in December and this time inside a basketball court. Between the two rival boxers, the event was called “Mayweather Vs Pacquiao All-Star Basketball Charity.”
Two teams of ten players will compete in the charity game. According to the report, the 10-man roster would allegedly feature two former NBA players.

Pacquiao and Mayweather signed a letter of intent with Mayweather’s TMT and Mayweather Promotions and Pacquiao’s MP Promotions on the letterhead. It called for the formation of “working groups” to begin the event’s planning and eventual execution.
“We agree on the main concept of the event, which is to bring total entertainment to the fans of boxing, basketball, and all sports in general, and to create a project that will solidify our legacies to the fans,” said the letter intent of charity game.
“We also aim to generate funds for our chosen charities in time for Christmas,” it added.
The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, which has hosted most of Pacquiao and Mayweather’s greatest fights in the city, including their multimillion-dollar battle in 2015, is apparently being considered as the location for the event. Although no precise date has been set, the fight is expected to take place on Pacquiao’s birthday, December 17, in Las Vegas.
Mayweather has also been seen at live NBA games, and Pacquiao has even played in the PBA for the Kia team. Six years ago, the two retired boxing legends fought in the richest boxing battle in history, with Mayweather defeating Pacquiao.
Both boxers were paid in the hundreds of millions of dollars for the first time in their careers. Mayweather has since limited himself to exhibition fights, while Pacquiao announced his retirement from the sport in August after losing to Cuban Yordenis Ugas, and is now focusing on a presidential candidacy in next year’s elections.
