Senator Bato Slams Insulting Question Reporter Against His Presidential Candidacy
Senator Bato Dela Rosa slams the insulting question of a reporter asking him if his candidacy for president is just a mockery of the election process.
During the last minute of filing, the Philippine National Police (PNP) General turned Senator filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for president. Senator Bong Go, the vice-presidential candidate of the PDP-Laban, would have Bato as his running mate.
Following his address, Bato takes questions from the press. The PDP-Laban presidential candidate, on the other hand, couldn’t help but respond to a reporter who appeared to be asking an insulting question.
A reporter ask if Bato’s presidential run was a mockery of the country’s election. “Sir, is this not a mockery of the election process?” the reporter asked Bato.

Dela Rosa instantly responded, alleging that the inquiry was offensive. Bato then attacked the story, asking if what he has done as a senator appeared to be a joke to the people who voted for him.
“Do I look like a mockery to you? I won as a senator, I was number five in the last election. Is that mockery? Is this a mockery to the 19-M Filipinos who voted for me as a senator of this republic? ” said Bato.
“It’s a very insulting question,” he added.
After then, the senator did not respond to any further inquiries. Many people were horrified by Dela Rosa’s actions, and many are wondering if they would follow in the footsteps of President Rodrigo Duterte in 2016.
President Duterte was merely a stand-in for Martin Dino, the genuine PDP-Laban candidate. Some internet users believe Dela Rosa will do the same if they can persuade Davao City mayor Inday Sara to run for the highest government office.
