But, despite his campaign against the “bobo”, Gadon made questionable statements, especially amidst the pandemic. Still, with the fans and supporters he racked up due to his antics, Gadon filed his certificate of candidacy as Senator.

Back in the 2016 elections, Gadon ranked 27th in the senatorial race with 1.9 million votes to his name. Following this, he tried again in 2019 and ranked lower at 28th with at least 3.4 million votes.

Following this, he claimed that he was cheated out of his rightful seat as a Senator. Furthermore, the Supreme Court also suspended him for three months due to his “abusive and intemperate language”.

Currently, among the issues, Gadon faces several impeachment complaints. According to an article from ABS-CBN, one was filed in 2016 after he said Muslims should be eliminated to get peace in Mindanao.

Additionally, Wilfredo Garrido Jr. also filed a complaint against him due to his arrogance at the House of Representatives during a committee hearing. Moreover, two cases were filed against the lawyer for his “bobo” antics in Baguio city during the peak of the quo warranto investigations versus the then chief magistrate in April 2018.

However, he maintains that the allegations against him were merely baseless.
