Shakira Attacked By Wild Boars During Park Stroll In Barcelona
SHAKIRA ATTACKED – Pop icon Shakira reported that a pair of wild boars attacked her while walking in a park.
For the longest time, we have known Shakira as the “she-wolf”. Unfortunately, that title didn’t stop the Wild Boars from targeting her.
According to an article from BBC, the Columbian singer said she was also a victim of theft with the suspects being the same wild boars. The bizarre incident was posted on her Instagram stories this week.
Shakira was walking with her eight-year-old son in a Barcelona park. Suddenly, a pair of wild boars attacked her and snatched her bag out of her hand. Afterward, the wild animals quickly fled into the woods.
Luckily, she recovered her belongings, although it was all worn down. On her IG stories, the singer said:
They were taking my bag to the woods with my mobile phone in it…
They’ve destroyed everything
Fortunately, her son wasn’t injured during the incident. Along with this, Sasha Piqué Mebarak, Shakira’s son was told to say how his “mummy stood up to the wild boar”.
But, even as bizarre as the incident was, this wasn’t the first instance where people were attacked in the park. As per the article, Spanish police got 1,187 phone calls regarding wild hogs attacking dogs.
In 2013, a police officer tried to shoot one of the boars that were ravaging the city. But, he failed to hit his target and instead shot his partner.
Furthermore, its rapid increase in population has become a major issue, especially across Europe. Currently, experts estimate that around 10 million wild boars can be located across the continent.
