Duterte Rants Vs Gordon, Says He Is Unfit As Senator Of Republic

DUTERTE TO CAMPAIGN AGAINST GORDON – During his pre-recorded public address, President Rodrigo Duterte said Senator Richard Gordon is unfit to be a lawmaker.

Gordon, the head of the Blue Ribbon Committee is currently heading the investigations into Pharmally. Recently, Pharmally has been linked to alleged overpricing of personal protective equipment and other allegations.

Furthermore, Gordon pushed President Duterte’s former adviser Michael Yang to be physically present during the hearing despite his doctor saying his blood pressure rose. But, Gordon said that his doctor can come with him to the hearing with ambulances ready.

However, amid the probing, President Duterte expressed that the hearings are “a waste of time”. As such, he proposed to the Senators that Cabinet members were required to get a go signal from him to clear the invitation to the hearing.

Along with this, Duterte emphasized that he wanted to campaign against Gordon for being “unfit to be a senator of the republic”. This also follows Duterte’s rants against the Senator and the Philippine Red Cross.

As the probing into the alleged overpriced PPEs began, Duterte said that the PRC should also get audited by COA. Furthermore, he challenged the Senator that if he wants to go against him, Gordon has to “do his worst”.
