Kisses Delavin opened up about this part of her life
Actress Kisses Delavin, who is one of the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 candidates, shared her story of being a “miracle baby”.
Kisses or Kirsten Danielle in real life, already showed glimpses of her life and personality when she joined the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother. In a recent edition of King of Talk Boy Abunda’s The Purple Chair Interview, he asked Kisses about being a miracle baby.
The actress revealed that she was the second pregnancy of her mother and the rest after that did not survive. Kisses Delavin also shared that she had a sister who was a premature baby and she lived only for 1 year and 8 months.
She also shared that she was a sickly kid. Kisses suffered from Viral Encephalitis and the doctors said that she only had a 5 percent chance of living because of the complications. Fortunately, she was able to survive and her case became a subject of the studies of the doctors as they were finding out how she survived.
The actress was in a coma for 24 hours and the worst-case scenario could lead to brain dead but then again, the miracle happen as she woke up and looked for her parents. “When life gives you a second chance to live you’ll really feel the gratefulness,” she said. Kisses also shared that her parents would always remind her to do good and be a good person as this is her second life.
Kisses Delavin also shared why her nickname is “Kisses”. She said that when her mother was in labor, she saw another envelope beside her with the name “Kisses” and she like it. Since Kisses already had her Kirsten Danielle real name and so her mother just gave her that nickname.
