Jollibee Only Non-US Fast Food Chain Topping World’s Most Popular List

Jollibee Only Non-US Fast-Food Chain Included In Top 15 Most Popular Franchises

JOLLIBEE – The Philippines’ #1 fast-food chain became the only non-US restaurant included in the world’s most popular list.

Since 1978, Jollibee has etched itself in the history of the Philippines. Now, what started off as a simple ice cream parlor has become the flagship restaurant of Jollibee Foods.

Furthermore, the company, Jollibee Foods, owns several of the top food chains in the Philippines. These include Greenwich, Chowking, Red Ribbon, and Mang Inasal. Additionally, it also owns the franchise rights for Burger King in the Philippines.

But, the success of Jollibee wasn’t only found in the Philippines. In fact, it has over 1,200 outlets worldwide spanning from South East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.

As such, it was no surprise when Jollibee was in the top 15 of the world’s most popular fast-food chains. In the list, Jollibee held the top 13 spot. However, when looking at the competition it’s still impressive how it held up against Western powerhouses such as McDonald’s and KFC.

According to a post on Reddit, here is the list of the most popular food chains in the world by the number of locations:

It’s no surprise that all of these fast-food chains are from the U.S. considering how much Americans love fast food. In the list, you’d see household names such as Subway and McDonald’s.

Meanwhile, some might be surprised as to how Starbucks got into the list when they don’t sell fast food. However, based on a technicality, the official name for fast-food restaurants is actually “quick service” restaurants. Therefore, with over 32,660 locations, the world’s number 1 coffee chain sits comfortably at the top 3 in the list.
