The treasure hunters were terrified when inside the cave, where they purportedly observed alleged dwarfs and other unidentified creatures. The treasure seekers were forced to flee when they smelled an unknown chemical, but two of their comrades were left behind.

The victims were discovered dead, perhaps poisoned by the substance they had breathed. It should be remembered that treasure hunters initially entered the cave last month, killing one person.

Anwar Zacaria, a 31-year-old treasure hunter, ventured into a cave in Datu Odin Sinsuat to look for jewels but died of asphyxia while his two comrades managed to escape. The three were allegedly digging for purported concealed gold bars when the incident occurred.

The cave, according to the survivors, is filled with the hazardous material. Indigenous elders claimed that the cave was sacred and that it was guarded by other creatures. To avoid a repeat of the disaster, authorities searched the cave and shut it down.
