Michael V Appeals Online to Report Fake Facebook Account with His Name
Kapuso actor and comedian Michael V appeal to the public online to report the fake Facebook account allegedly using his name.

Michael V. or Bitoy, a Kapuso actor, begged for aid on Facebook to report a Facebook account that uses his name and has over 200k followers. He shared a screenshot of a bogus account in his post and criticized the person who created it.
“Sa mga concerned at nagtatanong, salamat at paki-report na lang ‘tong FAKE FB ACCOUNT na ‘to. Daming p’wedeng gayahin, ako pa naisip,” said the comedy genius in his post.
“Paki-report at unfollow na rin ‘yung mga nagpo-post ng pagsuporta ko sa kung kani-kaninong tatakbo sa eleks’yon. IT’S 100% FAKE,” the comedian added.

Based on his Facebook post, he stated that during the 2010 presidential race, he only supported one politician throughout his career. Meanwhile, Bitoy’s photo has been removed from the suspected bogus FB account, which has approximately 190,000 likes, but the name “@MichaelBitoyGma Artist” is still listed.
Meanwhile, the GMA network previously cautioned the public about fraudulent social media profiles posing as Kapuso celebrities. According to GMA, fraudulent accounts pretend to be Kapuso stars and advertise fake raffles on the on social media platforms.
In the statement, unscrupulous people use accounts with celebrities’ names and images to engage in unlawful operations. Another phishing account goes by the name “Bossing TV,” which claims to be “Vic Sotto” and claims to be giving away money to anyone who leaves their name, address, and phone number in a remark.
