Police Involved in Illegal Drugs Arrested After Calling Drug Suspect Newly Arrested
Malauyong policemen arrested another police who was allegedly involved in illegal drugs after calling a drug suspect newly arrested.
According to the report, the police officer was arrested when he called a drug suspect who had recently been captured by Mandaluyong cops to reportedly demand money from the sale of illegal drugs. The operators then carried out a follow-up operation to apprehend him.
Police Staff Sergeant Manuel Bien, who was attached to the Police Security and Protection Group in Camp Crame, was the officer detained. Prior to Bien’s arrest, police launched an anti-illegal drug operation that resulted in the arrest of a suspect, according to authorities.

Police While the suspect was being escorted to the precinct, Colonel Gauvin Unos, Chief of Mandaluyong Police, revealed that someone called him and wanted the money from the sale of illegal drugs. That is why the follow-up operation was carried out, and the police allegedly did not anticipate apprehending a member of the Philippine police force.
Bien’s background was examined, and it was determined that an intelligence report from 2019 stated that he was involved in illegal narcotics. It’s possible that the evidence against Bien was insufficient at the time, and he was not charged.
Bien has been charged in a number of crimes. Meanwhile, Philippine National Police Chief General Guillermo Eleazar authorized the start of summary dismissal proceedings against Bien and another police officer in Manila who was involved in the death of a businessman.
He also ordered the director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Major General Albert Ignatius Ferro, to replace, disarm, and hold all Quezon City Field Unit members in restrictive custody while they are investigated for extortion.
