A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz shared this update about his upcoming sitcom in the Kapuso network.
Lloydie’s official television comeback happened in GMA when Wowowin host Willie Revillame guested him on a special event for an online shopping brand. Following this, it was reported that he will be doing a sitcom and Andrea Torres is being pitched to be his leading lady.
In a previous interview, the actress said that she is excited if this project will push through because she is a self-confessed fan of John Lloyd Cruz. However, following the hyped that this upcoming project has created, talks about it could no longer be heard.
Based on the article in NewsKo, through a chat message, the A-list actor shared that discussions about the project are still ongoing. As of now, they are still mostly on the meeting stage as there is no finality yet coming from the management of the Kapuso network.
Through a chat message also, GMA executive Ms. Annette Gozon-Valdes also said that they are still talking about this, especially on things that concern the budget for the sitcom.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview by Karen Davila, John Lloyd Cruz opened up about his decision to be less active in showbiz. He also talked about his love life and how it is being a first-time dad to his son Elias with his former partner Ellen Adarna.
Lloydie also shared in the said interview that he almost left everything behind when he was 22 years old. He said that he planned to go to Nepal to meet a woman that inspired him to spread kindness.
