CNN Fires 3 Employees for Coming to Work Unvaccinated Against COVID-19
One of the biggest media company CNN fires three (3) of their employees after they go to work being unvaccinated against the COVID-19.
CNN has begun terminating an employee who has not been vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the United States. The employees were not identified, but they were sacked after reporting to work at an office or other location with other vaccinated co-workers.

The reporter also did not specify where they were, despite the fact that CNN’s staff and headquarters are spread around the United States and other nations. According to Jeff Zucker, president of CNN, management issued a memorandum ordering all staff to be vaccinated, and they could not attend work without being vaccinated.
“Let me be clear — we have a zero-tolerance policy on this,” the memo read, referring to the media organization’s strict stance on the coronavirus disease (Covid-19)-related protocols.
Unless they are eating or drinking, employees are also compelled to wear face masks in their offices and enclosed buildings. Even though wearing a mask is not required in the workplace, employees should do what they feel like doing without fear of reprisal or condemnation from coworkers.
Employees are expected to be fully returned in the coming month of September, although this may change depending on the situation in the United States with the COVID-19 Delta version, which has already infected 83 percent of individuals. Vaccinations are required for all personnel, whether they work in the office or in the field, where they might come in contact with others.
While evidence of immunization is now based on the honor system, Zucker stated in an internal corporate memo to his employees that this may alter in the coming weeks. The CNN chief’s stern warning comes as the United States grapples with widespread vaccine apprehension, even in COVID-19 hotspots like Wyoming.

The action taken by cnn in terminating the employment of unvaccinated employees seems to be harsh. The labor laws in the US may have been violated. Surely, this cannot be done in the Philippines as security of tenure fully protects employees rights
