Arci Munoz shared her experience during training to be an Air Force reservist
Actress-singer Arci Munoz, who is an Air Force reservist, has this answer when she was asked about the bashers of celebrity reservists.
Several celebrities in the Philippines have undergone training to be reservists despite their busy schedules in showbiz. Arci shared that most of the training sessions last for one to two months but hers lasted for six months. After that, she graduated as a sergeant.
When asked about the negative comments that celebrity reservists are actually doing nothing to help, based on the article in PEP, Arci Munoz has this answer: “People have different opinions about this, and for me, ito lang sa akin, yung nakikita niyo, ito na yun. So ginagawa ko lang kung ano yung iniatas sa akin na responsibilidad bilang isang Air Force Reservist, wala akong masasabi sa ngayon.”
However, she stressed that they are all doing their part and that others perhaps others are not just so open about what they are doing to help. For her, as a reservist and as an influencer for being a celebrity, she can do something to encourage her fellow Filipinos to do the same.
“Para ma-influence yung mga tao also because it is also my advocacy, and I really want this to be mandatory,” the actress-singer said. She also shared that even though the training of reservists is not that intense, this has become a humbling experience for her.
Arci Munoz added that she is proud of what she has achieved because somehow, she was able to experience even just a portion of what the full-fledged soldiers went through.
The actress-singer proudly shared as well that she has become an expert in juggling her schedules. She said that in spite of showbiz engagements lining up for her, her priority now is her duty as an Air Force reservist.
