Why did Andrea del Rosario turned down this teleserye offer?
Actress Andrea del Rosario revealed the reason why she decided to turn down that role that was offered for her in the series The Broken Marriage Vow.
The said series is based on BBC’s series Doctor Foster that also had a South Korean remake titled the World of the Married. This project has been anticipated as one of the major projects that the Kapamilya network will offer. Based on the article in PUSH, Andrea shared that initially, she should be one of the cast member.
However, she chose to turn it down due to this important reason. “As of the moment, nandu’n po ako sa process ng egg harvest, IVF, so, may mga instance na talagang masakit man sa loob ko… I’m supposed to be part of The Broken Marriage Vow with Dreamscape, I had to beg off because of that,” Andrea del Rosario said.
The actress is now on her early 40s and she is planning to have another child. She was told by her doctor that if this is what she wants to happen, she needs to do it this year.
Director Connie Macatuno, who was also her director in the movie Rome and Juliet called her and the taping should start in July to December. However, she had to decline the offer.
“Dahil nga po medyo last hurrah na po ako, sinabihan na ako ng doctor na, ‘Ay naku, medyo magku-close na ang iyong matres so kun gusto mo you have to make a choice right now.’ Siguro yung talagang pinaka-focus ko is this year. So this year is parang a major year for me,” Andrea del Rosario said.
