Lamb Trailer Gives Netizens The Creeps After Revealing Center Point Of Story
LAMB TRAILER – The Icelandic film “Lamb” staring Noomi Rapace has given netizens the creeps after it dropped yesterday.
At first glance, the trailer gives off strong “Midsommar” vibes leaving an unnerving feeling as the tension builds. Naturally, this was because the film comes from the indie company A24, who worked on critically acclaimed horrors and thrillers such as:
- Midsommar
- The Killing of a Sacred Deer
- The Lighthouse.
- Hereditary
- Ex Machina
The film centers around a childless couple from an Icelandic countryside working on a sheep farm. One day, the couple was helping one of the sheep give birth. But, both were left speechless after a shocking discovery.
Apparently, one of the lambs was almost half-human. As such, the couple raised it as their own child. However, there’s even more bizarre twists to the story as setting becomes eerily dark.
Sadly, audiences need to wait a couple of months as the film is set to be out on October 8. But, it already got debuted at the Cannes Film Festival and received high-praise.
Still, the terrifying trailer, paired with the bizarre and unique concept was a rare gem to say the least. Furthermore, the actress who plays the lead character in the story said:
A script like this is rare and I directly felt that I had to do it. I’ve never done anything like this before and I can’t wait to start filming and go back to my roots in Iceland
