The Lava Z2 was announced on January 7, 2021 and released on January 11, 2021. The smartphone has the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is built with a glass front, a plastic back and a plastic frame.

The dimension of the phone is 164.5 x 75.8 x 9 mm and weighs 190 grams. It comes with a screen size of 6.51 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio.

Lava Z2 is powered by Mediatek Helio G35 (12 nm) processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is PowerVR GE8320. It runs on the Android 10 (Go Edition) operating system.

Lava Z2 is packed with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage option can be expanded up to 512GB using an extra memory card via a dedicated card slot. It supports dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).

The rear side of the smartphone sports a dual camera that consists of 13-megapixel (wide) + 2-megapixel (depth). On the front, the mobile features an 8-megapixel (wide) camera for clicking beautiful selfies and making video calls.

The device is powered by a 5000 mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable). It was launched in Red and Blue colors.

Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer and fingerprint (rear-mounted). It also features USB Type-C, FM radio, GPS with A-GPS, and Bluetooth 5.0.
