Town in Biliran to Hold Raffle for Local Residents who were Completely Vaccinated
The local government unit of a town in Biliran will hold a raffle giving away livestock and motorcycle for completely vaccinated residents.
Those who have already received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine in Naval town, Biliran, are eligible for more than just rice and groceries. They can also enter the local government raffle. Based on their raffle mechanics, the lucky winner will be able to win one of ten pigs, five cows, or a motorcycle.

This is a means for the Naval local administration to encourage Navaleos to be vaccinated against COVID-19, according to Naval Mayor Gerard Espina. To encourage more individuals to participate, the raffle will be held at the end of the year.
“Year-end po raffle namin para marami ang makakasali kasi limited supply ang vaccine, pero at least may pang-motivate sa mga ayaw magpa-vaccine,” Espina said in his message.
Their initiative to encourage their local residents to get vaccinated against COVID-19 has earned praise. The Department of Health (DOH) even commended the Naval Local Government. Up to 7,300 residents of the town have been vaccinated, according to the Naval LGU.
Because this represents only ten percent of the town’s overall population, Espina intends to expand their vaccine supply. Several local governments across the country have declared that residents who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 will be entered into a raffle to win rewards.
