Honor Play 3 runs on the Android 9.0 (Pie) + EMUI 9.1 operating system. The phone come in variants such as 64GB + 4GB RAM, 64GB + 6GB RAM, and 128GB + 4GB RAM. The storage option of the device can be expanded up to 256GB using an extra memory card via a dedicated card slot.
It comes with a screen size of 6.39 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is built with a glass front, a plastic back, and a plastic frame. It measures 159.8 x 76.1 x 8.1 mm and weighs 176 grams.
The rear side of the Honor Play 3 sports a triple-camera that consists of 48-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (depth). For selfies, the smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone is powered by a 4000 mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable) + charging 10W. It is available in three colors: Magic Night Black, Aurora Blue, and Charm Red.
Sensors on the device include a compass, proximity, and an accelerometer. It also features USB OTG, MicroUSB 2.0, FM radio, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Bluetooth 5.0, and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.
